Meet Lauren
I call myself “The
Traveling Teacher” because during my eight years as a
teacher, I have taught in 2 states, 4 cities, and 8 schools. I was born
and raised in Southern California. I now
live in Northern California with my fiancé and two dogs, Stella and Guinness.
I have a Masters degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in urban education. Over the past eight years, I taught third grade 5 years, fourth grade for 2 years, and reading intervention for 1 year. This year I will be teaching second grade for the first time ever. I know I have a lot to learn about second grade, but I am thankful for all the great ideas I get
from other teachers in blogland. I don’t
know how I taught before blogs and Teachers Pay Teachers. The collaboration factor is amazing!
When I am not teaching, we like to spend as much
time as possible enjoying what the Bay Area has to offer. We visit museums, go to concerts, walk along
the water, and enjoy good food. As often
as possible, we try to attend baseball, basketball, and football games. I am a huge USC college football fan, and
would go to every game if possible.
Fight On, Trojans!
Hi Lauren! I pinned your Boggle game today (plan to Facebook it tomorrow on my The Teacher Next Door Wall too) and was curious about your blog, so I stopped by. Enjoyed reading some posts! I teach 4th/5th in El Dorado Hills (Sacramento suburb) and was raised in southern California, so we have some things in common.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the great blog posts!
Take care,
Jenn

Lauren-
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your Super Hero themed Super Improvers wall set. Can you email me an editable version? I would like to make the badges bigger and change to black/white so that I can print them on cardstock.
