I
hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. I am linking up with Gina for Slim
Down Saturday
to share my weight loss progress.
Updates:
I’m
still not completely recovered from my cold, but I am feeling better than last
week. The congestion prevented me from
doing a lot of cardio this week, but I focused on eating clean and keeping up
with the strength parts of the Tone It Up workout plan. I am happy to say that I have been
completely gluten-free and dairy-free since January 1st.
I have noticed a huge difference in how I feel, and the scale is
definitely showing the difference too. I’m amazed that I have hit the 10 pound
mark already, but I have worked hard every day.
I am
here to answer any questions or give any tips to help others achieve the
results they want.
Something to Do Better:
I
have been wearing a Misfit Flash (cheaper version of a Fit Bit) since Christmas
and have noticed that my sleep is pretty horrible. I am restless for a quarter to a half of the
time I am asleep. I’m not sure why I am so restless because I don’t
remember waking up or tossing and turning most of the time. I am going to try a nighttime routine to try
and wind down and hopefully sleep more soundly.
Last Week’s Goal:
My
husband ended up having to go out of town for business, so my meal plan didn’t
really happen. I can eat the same thing
several nights in my row, unlike my husband. I did try two new recipes though:
-
I also made curry tofu with zucchini noodles….yum!
I
can’t believe how much cauliflower and zucchini I have been eating
recently. I would never buy them before,
but I am loving how versatile they can be.
This Week’s Goal:
I
have been doing much better with the strength and yoga parts of the Tone It Up
workout plan, but have skipped or modified a lot of the cardio parts. This week, I want to up my cardio, so I will
run and go to spin class two times each.
I love the endorphins that I get from a good sweat session, so this
should be awesome!

As
I continue to make healthy changes in my lifestyle, I need to focus my energy on building new healthy
habits instead of fighting the old unhealthy habits.
